Pagid host “Out of the Blue” Promotion finale

From April 1st to June 30th 2011 Pagid ran the UK wide “Out of the Blue” promotion. Special blue metal backing plates were secreted into 10 random sets of Pagid brake pads during this period, each customer finding the blue plate instantly won a set of high quality Pagid brake tools, worth £300, and an invitation to Germany for the top prize draw event on August 4th 2011.

Escorted by Carl Jackson, Pagid Business Development Manager, the promotion winning group arrived on the 3rd August at Dusseldorf airport, Germany. The group then travelled on to the home of Pagid braking, Essen, and enjoyed a relaxing evening in a typical German brewery before staying local to the Pagid factory in a high quality hotel close to the city centre.

The following day the winning group visited the Pagid facility and was invited to see firsthand the state of the art production process manufacturing brake pads for Porsche, Mercedes, VW and many other vehicle manufacturers, as well as for the Pagid Aftermarket range. The site tour was followed by a technical presentation by Pagid Engineering Director, Ian Featherstone, explaining the research and development investment necessary to become an OE supplier of brake pads, as well as the performance benefits of an application specific engineering process. The winning group was also invited to meet Pagid sponsored racing team, Black Falcon, who attended the event with two of their race cars, including a fabulous Mercedes SLS GT car.

The visit culminated in a very exciting live prize draw event, with Black Falcon Racing Driver Tim Scheerbarth pulling three of the unique codes from each winning blue pad out of the hat.
